Things that strike you

There are a few things that I’ve notice since being back in Central America that I’d forgotten about or at least I hadn’t thought about in a while.
  1. You cannot flush toilet paper
  2. You cannot drink tap water
  3. The electricity often goes off randomly and unexpectedly

Because the electricity went out today, there was a situation that involved needing to iron a shirt so that someone could go to school. So, the situation was resolved by setting the iron on a piece of aluminum foil over the burner on the stove. I would have never thought to do that!
