This quote, from "Weight of Glory" (I read his sermon first) is probably (besides the entire Narnia collection) one of my favorite from Lewis. When I first read it, I realized what was going on in my own heart (even though knowing Christ for several years), like that deep longing to be with Christ that we all have: that resounding ache in our heart to be in union with the beauty around us, even deeper, with the one who created it. Thanks for posting this. It is a brilliance in words of an awe-ing reminder.
